Kirpal Gordon

Kirpal Gordon is a born-and-bred New Yorker currently residing in Murray Hill, Queens. He has traveled extensively and lived in every NYC borough as well as Arizona’s Sonoran Desert, the state of Oaxaca in southern Mexico, the mid-Hudson Valley, the French Quarter in New Orleans and the Texas Hill Country.

He writes fiction and non-fiction and performs spoken word prose poetry (his own and Walt Whitman’s) with his jazz band Speak-Spake-Spoke. He works with writing clients as a consultant, coach, ghostwriter and editor. He interviews artists and reviews literature and music at Taking Giant Steps Press Blog. A former yoga and meditation instructor, he builds and maintains meditation gardens in his spare time.
